The Woodlands Cake

Weekends are busy days here at our kitchen. My mom is literally and figuratively a hands on mom. She's turning 62 and is still very active in the operations of the business. She's molding mushrooms (several of them!) for the weekend's order. We hardly had sleep the past 2 days but the cake turned out great.

This happy woodland is inhabited by animals with plenty of sunlight and shade. Zoom in to see the mushrooms lovingly molded by Mama. This is an original design made by Marjorie, below with the draft that served as inspiration. All our cakes start with a peg and then we work our magic!

We had fun looking at this cake and it looked amazing at the birthday party!
