Sweet Success had a set-up for an 80th Chinese birthday two weekends ago. Prepping for the Rose Cake and 150 individually boxed Rose Cupcakes had the Sweet Success team up 'til wee hours for the past couple of days before the event.
For the Rose Cake, the red cloth submitted by the client was our inspiration on decorating the cake. It was a red garment with rose pattern. This was also the cloth they will be using in making the celebrant's gown. It took us a whole day decorating the cake as we have to make dozens of roses using fondant strips.
Nevertheless, we are happy how the cake and cupcakes turned out. It was all worth it!
